Johannesburg, South Africa --- MININGREVIEW.COM --- 06 July 2010 - The Chamber of Mines has announced that Bhekokuhle "Bheki" Sibiya is to replace chief executive Mzolisi Diliza when he retires at the end of this year.

Sibiya has appointed chief executive designate of the Chamber and took office yesterday. Chairperson of Brait South Africa, Sibiya served as CEO of Business Unity South Africa between January 2004 and December 2005.

During his career he has occupied senior positions at Transnet, Tongaat-Hulett Sugar and South African Breweries. In addition, he was managing director and president of the Black Management Forum in 1994 and 1995.

Sibiya holds a B Admin degree from the University of Zululand and an MBA from Western Michigan University in the US.
