BlueRock Diamonds which owns and operates the Kareevlei Diamond Mine in South Africa has recovered its largest diamond to date.

It has recovered a 24.98 carat gem quality stone. This diamond will shortly be put to tender, the results of which will be known on Monday 17 June.

The largest diamond prior to this was 16.28 carats which sold for US$ 78,947.
