African engineering expert SENET has official registered its energy-focused business SENERGY Africa, now also a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
SENERGY specialises in clean energy solutions on flexible contracting terms to clients on the African continent.
It will be structured along three business lines, namely energy efficiency, power project delivery, and power provisioning.
SENERGY will promote the ongoing pursuit of renewable energy to offset diesel costs for mining operations, to offer an alternative to grid power supply, and to improve its clients’ overall energy efficiency.
“We believe that SENERGY will enhance SENET’s already strong value proposition in the markets in which we operate,” the company states.
SENET is gearing up the business not only to capitalise on the improving position within its core markets and services, but also to aggressively roll out a synergistic diversification strategy – of which SENERGY is a major component. This will also see the business enhance its service offering into operations and maintenance services, through a newly established company, SENOPS says SENET MD Darren Naylor.
“Both strategies are directly aligned to our core services as we believe it is imperative to enhance our services throughout the supply value chain. SENOPS is the perfect representation where through a vertical integration we have moved into complete operations and maintenance services, including operational readiness, commissioning and ramp-up services -thereby broadening our scope and making it more inclusive.”
“Our renewable energy services offering represents a horizontal shift in focus, but it remains true to the same mining market and client base.”
