Harmony Gold reports fatality at Tshepong

Harmony Gold Mining Company has reported that one of its employees was fatally injured in a fall of ground incident at its Tshepong mine in Welkom, Free State this morning (19 July 2018).

Just nine days earlier, the gold miner reported a fatality at its Kusasalethu mine in Carletonville, were an employee was fatally injured in a fall of ground incident.

Harmony Gold Mining Company said in a statement that the Department of Mineral Resources has been informed of the latest incident and an investigation into the accident is underway.
