Job Description: 
A mining client currently half way through the construction phase has a vacancy for an HR Manager. They will be tasked with leading the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company’s capacity that the mine requires to support the execution of the project as well as the implementation of the operational mine going forward. They will report directly in to the Project Director during the construction phase and the General Manager for the mine during operations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement HR operational readiness and management of construction HR systems
  • Job analysis and designs
  • Acquisitions
  • Development and maintenance of talent
  • Build organisational capabilities to effectively deliver the business strategy
  • Develop and maintain sound labour relations
  • Effective management of HR management systems and processes
  • Ensure there is strict compliance to Company and legal requirements

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Relevant tertiary degree / NQ4 Level 7 qualification
  • At least 10 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Previous HR Manager experience within the mining industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Expert in compliance
