Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice President you will be holding a senior position within this crucial project of Project Mine Engineer
Responsibilities:
- In charge of all Mine Operation / Mine Planning / Exploration
- Responsible for short-term planning, medium-term planning, mine engineering projects for current and new farms
- Responsible for extension of current farms and development of Life of Mine (LOM) extension design, scheduling and budgeting
- Review, provide technical advice and assistance to mining production team, including but not limited to short term, medium term and long term mining plan and strategy
- Quality control and manage contractors / individual consultants to ensure full compliance with company policies, Mine Health & Safety regulations of Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act, contract and schedule requirements and any other statutory regulations
- Improve safety by leading safety presentations, training, preparing best practice guidelines and participating in Safety audits
- Develop standards and methods to document and optimize short term planning
- Conduct weekly and/or monthly meetings with mining owners production teams and contractors / individual consultants to keep track of project progress
- Handle any ad hoc projects and assignments assigned by the Company.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Geological Engineering, or other technical discipline
- 10+ years of related experience working as a mining engineer or direct mine operations experience, preferred in Manganese Mining Industry
- Knowledge of project management, database software and AutoCAD
- Experience with mining GPS survey systems
- Possession of Mine Manager’s certificate of competency is an advantage
