AMCU said in a tweet on its official Twitter account on Sunday that it had accepted Sibanye Gold’s new wage offer.

Tweeting from its central mass meeting held at Sibanye Gold’s Driefontein mine on Sunday, labour union the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU) outlined the new wage agreement as follows: Year 1=R700; Year 2=R725; Year 3=R800.

The wage offer was “voted for unanimously by our members,” its twitter account read.

No official announcement has yet been made by Sibanye Gold concerning this matter.
