Royal Bafokeng Holdings (RBH), the South Africa platinum major, has reduced its shareholding in Impala Platinum (Implats) by 5% to 46 198 521 ordinary shares.

The structured disposal process was completed on 31 March 2016 and was effected over a period of 18 months. Implats received formal notification in the change of shareholding on Monday.

Albertinah Kekana, CEO of RBH says: “As part of Royal Bafokeng Holdings’ prudent approach to portfolio management, and in line with our on-going diversification strategy, we have decided to reduce our shareholding in Implats.”
