The 121.26 carat Type II white diamond recovered at Petra Diamonds' Cullinan mine in South Africa
LSE-listed Petra Diamonds, has sold its Type II diamond 121.26 carat white diamond for US$6 million.

As part of Petra Diamonds June sales process, the exceptional 121.26 carat white diamond has sold for $6.0 million ~$49.480 per carat.

The diamond has been bought by a joint venture comprising Nemesis International and Golden Yellow Diamonds, two leading diamond manufacturers who specialize in large diamonds.

The stone is a Type II diamond “of exceptional colour and clarity” and is an outstanding example of the large, high quality diamonds for which the mine is known.

Cullinan mine is known as the home of the world’s largest rough gem found in 1905. The 3.106 carat diamond was split into two to adorn the two pieces found in the Crown Jewels of Her Majesty the Queen of England.
