MIDROC Gold Mine PLC intends to build a new gravity-cyanide leaching-CIP gold processing plant.

The new plant will have a capacity of 1.25 million tons per annum, the emulsion plant will have a maximum capacity of 500 tons of emulsion per month, while the mine analytical laboratory will have a capacity of 6,000 to 10,000 solid and solution samples analysis ‘per month.

Addis Ababa-based MIDROC is also seeking to procure earth moving and ancillary machineries for a gold mine that is to be developed in the northwestern part of Ethiopia in Metekel Zone, Benshangul Gumuz Regional State.

The main features of the process plant include crushing, grinding, classification, gravity, cyanide leaching, CIP, elution, electro-winning, smelting and cyanide detoxification.

The company invites eligible and qualified EPC contractors for gold processing plant, EPC contractors for emulsion plant, EPC contractors for mine analytical laboratory and potential suppliers for earth moving and ancillary machineries based on the requirements hereunder and clarified in the bid document.

The project site is in Benishangul Gumuz Regional State, Metekel Zone, northwest of Addis Ababa, between approximately 1,500m and 1,800m above sea level.
