Atlas Copco offers a range of filters that have a direct and positive impact on the energy efficiency of a compressor installation.
The clogging process starts as soon as a filter is fitted and the pressure drop will gradually increase at a rate dependent on environmental and working conditions. Each 0.5 bar pressure drop draws 3% more energy, resulting in an increase in power consumption and operating costs. For example, in a 100 l/s compressed air system operating at 7 bar during 6,000 hours a year, an extra pressure drop of 150 mbar will waste no less than 2,000 kWh annually.
Atlas Copco filters reduce pressure drop to a minimum and offer benefits including reduction in power usage, lower maintenance costs and a boost in overall efficiency and productivity for improved profitability.
