Johannesburg, South Africa — MININGREVIEW.COM — 15 July 2008 – Anglo Platinum – the world’s top platinum producer – expects the company’s earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the half-year ended 30 June 2008 to be between 15% and 25% above those for the same period in 2007.

In a trading statement issued here today the company advised its shareholders that these increases would be on earnings per share of 2 944 cents and headline earnings per share of 2 943 cents in the six months ended 30 June 2007.

It added that the expected increase, despite lower sales volumes, was primarily as a result of higher Rand prices of metals sold.

Anglo Platinum intends publishing its interim results on 28 July 2008.
