Bell Equipment Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of materials handling equipment announces plans to restructure for improved efficiency.
The group wide restructuring of all cost structures is a result of the need to align with revenue performance and business and customer needs. Bell has embarked on a section 189A of the Labour Relations Act and is in discussion with organised labour. Moreover, non-South African operations are also under review and similar processes will be followed in other locations.
Bell has celebrated its 60th anniversary of local manufacturing and has a wide portfolio of heavy equipment including articulated trucks and tri-wheel loaders, used for a wide variety of applications and industries. The loading and hauling machinery provide solutions to the mining, quarrying, construction and road building industries.
The shareholders have been informed that Bell will improve its operating efficiency and therefore secure its long-term competitiveness and sustainability.
