Cape Town, South Africa — MININGREVIEW.COM – 03 March 2009 – Clarion Events have announced the acquisition of a majority interest in Spintelligent, a South African exhibition and large-scale conference organiser. This brings to a total of four the number of acquisitions completed since Clarion undertook a secondary financing in February 2008.
Spintelligent, based in Cape Town, specialises in the utility and power infrastructure sector, producing and hosting more than twenty events a year in more than a dozen countries. The acquisition is the perfect complement to Netherlands-based Synergy and gives Clarion Events a global platform of Metering events and a series of market leading sector brands across every continent.
Spintelligent also publishes three industry leading magazine titles: Metering International, ESI Africa and Mining Review Africa and associated websites.
