Sandvik has introduced its TC230E to the low seam coal hauling market. This is a brand new battery powered coal hauler capable of operating at mining heights as low as 1.3 meters upwards. Boasting a 13 tonne mechanical design capacity, these machines will be introduced to and tested in the local market over the next six months. The first three units to reach our shores have already been reserved.
The TC230E compliments Sandvik’s existing range of low seam mining equipment such as twin boom roof bolters, battery scoops and face drills. It is suited to work behind the Sandvik MB200 series bolter miners.
This machine offers benefits such as microprocessor-based, IGBT type, contactorless control with diagnostic readout in deck; four wheel drive; and a ground based, patented battery changing system.
