Maputo, Mozambique — 09 March 2012 – The vice-chancellor of Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in Mozambique has announced the introduction of three new degree courses related to mining and oil exploration, according to daily Mozambican newspaper “O País.”
Cited by Macauhub, the newspaper quoted vice-chancellor Orlando Quilambo as saying that Eduardo Mondlane University would this year offer courses in Cartography and Geological Surveying, Applied Geology, and Oil Engineering. “We signed a deal with an oil exploration company for joint training of around 200 students in this area by 2015,” Quilambo explained.
He also announced four new master’s degrees in the areas of Oil Engineering, Wood Technology, Food Technology, and Resource Management.
UEM currently offers 80 degree courses, 35 Masters courses and three doctorates
