Electra Mining is taking its mining, industrial, construction and power generation show to Ghana for the first time in 2014. Electra Mining West Africa is taking place at the Movenpick Hotel ACCRA in Ghana from 3-5 March this year.
“The mining industry in West Africa is a major driver of economic growth and the long-term sustainability of supporting industries. It’s a sector set to grow rapidly as investment pours into the region’s significant mineral wealth,” says Gary Corin, Managing Director of Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery.
With four dedicated conference streams, an unparalleled ministerial round table with regional Ministers of Energy and Mining, visionary keynotes from West Africa’s mining leaders and a technology exhibition showcase, the exhibition is drawing much attention and support.
Electra Mining Africa is the biggest trade exhibition in Southern Africa and is acknowledged as being a gateway into Africa for related local and global business, having recently expanded into Botswana, Ghana and Zambia. “It was from this base that we decided to expand our footprint into Africa with the first Electra Mining Botswana taking place in September last year and expansion to Ghana and Zambia early this year,” says Corin.
Electra Mining Africa 2014 will be the twenty-first show spanning a period of forty-two years. Corin says that the show has a “proud heritage” and its further development and expansion will offer visitors and exhibitors from across Africa and beyond a positive interactive experience.
