LSE-listed Gem Diamonds has recovered a 152 carat, top white colour Type IIa diamond from its Letšeng mine in Lesotho, the highest dollar per carat kimberlite diamond mine in the world.
This is the sixth diamond of over 100 carats recovered in 2018.
In January the company announced the recovery of two +100 carat diamonds from Letšeng. The high quality diamonds include one 117 and one 110 carat, D colour Type IIa diamond.
The company also consistently recovered +100 stones in 2017.
