The Glencore-Merafe Chrome Venture has successfully concluded wage negotiations with the majority unions at all of its South African ferrochrome operations.
The three-year agreement was signed at the venture’s western and eastern smelters – effective 1 July 2015.
The company said in a statement on Tuesday that the wage agreements at all the venture’s operations provide for increases in line with current industry trends.
