JSE-listed iron ore miner Kumba expects its headline earnings and basic earnings for year to December 31, 2015 to be at least 2.2 million and 2.1 million lower than in 2014, owing to the significant decrease in export iron ore prices during the year.

Kumba further expects its headline earnings per share (HEPS) and earnings per share (EPS) to be at least R6.86/share and R6.69 lower than those of the comparative period, respectively.

Headline earnings and basic earnings reported for 2014 were R11.006 million and R10.724 million respectively, while HEPS and EPS reported for the comparative period were R34.32 and R33.44 respectively.

Kumba’s results for the year will be released on 9 February 2016.
