Lonmin reports fatality at Rowland shaft

Platinum miner Lonmin announced that a locomotive driver was killed in a mudslide at its Rowland shaft in Marikana on Monday.

No other employees were injured in the incident.

An investigation into the accident has begun, in conjunction with the Department of Mineral Resources and unions.
