A company statement issued here today said Metso had licensed Jim Harrison Design to supply the range of Metso’s DREWBOY coal separation equipment into the coal processing and washing industries in Africa, India and Australia. In other areas, Jim Harrison Design would be able to provide coal processing support to Metso where required.
The DREWBOY range is widely utilised for dense media separation, mainly in the coal washing process. It is produced in 6 different sizes, ranging from 1.2m to 4m inside width of bath, and has a feed capacity of up to 820 tonnes per hour
Metso supplies a number of other products into the coal processing sector, including slurry pumps, screens, screen media, wear protection products and crushers. “Jim Harrison Design will be able to use this Metso equipment and technology in putting together complete processing and washing plants,” the statement stated.
Jim Harrison Design Associates is a well known design and project house in the coal processing field, and has recently joined the Taggart Global Group, giving it access to worldwide coal processing opportunities. Metso is a global supplier of sustainable technology and services for mining, construction, power generation, automation, recycling and the pulp and paper industries.
