London, England — MININGREVIEW.COM — 29 October 2009 – AIM-listed mid-tier diamond producer and exploration company Pangea DiamondFields plc has announced the appointment of Boris Kamstra as the company’s new CEO with effect from 1 November 2009.

Kamstra “’ currently PDF’s Operations Manager for its DRC and South African projects “’ succeeds Brett Thompson who is stepping down to pursue his long-held desire to relocate with his family back to Australia.

Aged 46, Kamstra is a civil engineer with extensive operational, project management and management experience. Amongst the projects he has successfully completed are the construction of a number of mines, dams and roads involving large earthmoving operations throughout Africa.

He commenced his career at Grinaker Concrete Construction, becoming a director of that company in 1999. After leaving Grinaker in 1999 he completed an MBA at the Wits Business School in Johannesburg. Kamstra joined PDF in May 2006 as engineering manager and oversaw the design, manufacture and construction of the company’s bulk sampling plants in the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola and South Africa.

Brett Thompson will remain involved on a full time basis in a consulting role until the end of December 2009 to facilitate a smooth transition of responsibility, and thereafter will continue his involvement with PDF as a non-executive director.
