New director for African Minerals

London, England — MININGREVIEW.COM — 04 February 2009 – African Minerals Limited – an AIM-listed mineral exploration company with significant interests in Sierra Leone, in West Africa – has appointed Christopher Duffy as non-executive director with immediate effect.

Aged 51, Duffy, is a partner in Clyde & Company, an international firm of lawyers based in London. He joined the company in 1986, becoming a partner in 1989. He is a highly experienced corporate lawyer who has advised numerous companies in relation to their activities in the UK and many other jurisdictions, including the African continent in particular.

Duffy graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in law and qualified as a solicitor in 1983. Clyde & Company are the  external legal advisers to African Diamonds, and will continue to act as such.
