Johannesburg, South Africa — MININGREVIEW.COM — 20 April 2010 – Hulamin “’ an independent producer of semi-finished and fabricated aluminium products “’ has announced the appointment of Richard Jacob as CEO with effect from July 2010. Jacob’s appointment follows the retirement of Alan Fourie.
In a statement issued here, the company said its board had conducted an extensive search process and considered candidates from Hulamin and from outside the company. In the end, the board had opted to appoint someone from within the company.
Hulamin chairperson Mafika Mkwanazi said Jacob had twenty years service with Hulamin and had achieved notable success in entrenching Hulamin’s competitive position in both the local and export markets.
Jacob has been a member of the Hulamin executive committee for the past eight years.
