TSX- and JSE-listed Forbes & Manhattan Coal has changed its name to “Buffalo Coal” – a decision approved by shareholders at the annual and special meeting held on June 27, 2014.

The company’s common shares are expected to commence trading concurrently on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the new symbol “BUF” and on the JSE under the new symbol “BUC” effective July 21, 2014.

The company is a growing coal producer in southern Africa. It holds a majority interest in two operating mines through its 100% interest in Forbes Coal, a South African company which has a 70% interest in Zinoju Coal. Zinoju holds a 100% interest in the Magdalena bituminous mine and the Aviemore anthracite mine in South Africa. The company has an experienced coal-focused management team.
