Johannesburg, South Africa — MININGREVIEW.COM — 12 August 2010 – Platinum producer Northam Platinum says it expects its full year earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2010 to be between 170 and 190 cents.

Revealing this in a statement issued here, the company said this compared with earnings of 183.7 cents per share and headline earnings of 172.2 cents per share reported for the year to the end of June 2009.

The statement added that total platinum group metals sales volumes were approximately 18% higher than the previous comparable period which, combined with a marginally higher average rand basket price received, had resulted in significantly higher total revenue for the group.

Preliminary results for the year will be released on or about 20 August.
