Now in its fourth year, the OSH EXPO Africa health and safety exhibition hosted by UBM Montgomery promises to bring industry professionals together, providing a platform for interactive demonstrations and opening lines of discussion.

“At the end of the day, it’s just a market place – a place to trade. But exhibitions are still as relevant as ever. In a digital age, we find ourselves in a face to forum, finding success in partnerships and engagement in concentrated marketing,” says Joshua Low, UBM Montgomery event director.

The mining sector is characterised by rough and demanding work conditions, says Low, and special attention is needed to ensure health and safety of workers. The exhibition boasts a wide range of products that form the staple of every miner’s personal protective equipment, and “visitors are invited to participate, allowing them to determine first-hand the benefits to be derived from the products being demonstrated.

The exhibition will run from 13 to 15 May at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg. It will be co-located with IFSEC SA, a fire and security technology and services exhibition.
