Making the announcement here, PMI chairman Jim Askew said “Peter’s assumption of the CEO role brings to PMI decades of international experience in project management and company leadership, as well as significant experience in Ghana over the last 20 years. His transition from a directorial role to an executive role ensures the company will transition smoothly through this leadership change.”

He was the former president and CEO of Copperbelt Resources and served eight years as president and CEO of Ghana gold producer Golden Star Resources Limited.
