Severe duty applications call for pumps that offer above average wear life. The Warman MC pump, engineered using the latest hard alloy and elastomer technology, can easily manage the large size particles in dense abrasive slurries.

The Warman MCR pump incorporates elastomer liners inside a ductile iron outer casing with a metal impeller, metal or elastomer throatbush and frame plate liner insert. The Warman MCU pump is an all-metal, unlined pump with a hard white iron casing and a metal impeller, throatbush and frame plate liner insert. The Warman MCM pump has hard white iron metal liners inside a ductile iron outer casing with a metal impeller, throatbush and frame plate liner insert.
Warman MC pumps are typically found in ball mill and SAG mill cyclone feed and water-flush crushing applications in minerals processing plants. The units are also suitable as slurry transfer pumps in gravel dredging or coarse coal cyclone feed applications.
“During design attention was paid to aspects that would optimise performance and decrease wear,” Otten says. Deep expelling vanes on the front of the hard alloy impellers have reduced recirculation significantly, while the large open passage reduces internal velocities leading to decreased wear.
A large diameter shaft, with the shortest possible overhang and heavy duty roller bearings housed in a removable bearing cartridge, extends bearing life. Shrouds, which extend beyond the periphery of the impeller, and expelling vanes provide improved flow and reduced wear at the expelling vane tips.
