Simmers appoints new interim CEO

Johannesburg, South Africa — MININGREVIEW.COM — 19 March 2010 – The board of Simmer & Jack Mines Limited (Simmers) “’ an emerging South African resources company with significant gold and uranium assets “’ has appointed Nico Schoeman as the company’s interim chief executive officer.

In a statement issued here, shareholders were advised that CEO Deon van der Mescht had resigned with immediate effect from the company, and as a director of Simmers, in order to take up the leadership position at Simmers’ associate company, First Uranium Corporation, as interim president and chief executive officer.
